With over 30 years qualified experience within the motor industry, Founder and Director Bob Hopgood (owner of Second 2 None) has done it again in 2022, opening up this brand-new facility; Brake Innovations & Accessories in Faringdon, Oxfordshire.
Bringing onboard personally selected staff with a proven track record within the industry to support and grow our highly trained technicians with Brake Innovations & Accessories.
These appointments were essential to ensure all our customers receive the very best customer service and attention to you and your vehicle.

In 2019, Brembo decided to establish authorised fitting centres in the UK. At that time, they already had a strong presence in Europe and America. Known for their excellence in motorsport, they were also well-established with prestigious car manufacturers like Mercedes, BMW, Audi, and Range Rover.
I collaborated with Point S and GSF to ensure that Brembo braking parts were widely available for all car makes and models. Familiar with the product, I saw an opportunity to dominate the market by offering Brembo parts at prices lower than those of main dealers and competitive with other brands.
The key to our success lay in negotiating competitive prices and achieving 90% market coverage in the UK. My selling point has always been simple: if you had the chance to buy premium tyres—like Michelin, Goodyear, or Pirelli—at mid-range prices, you’d take it. It’s the same with Brembo: premium brakes at mid-range prices.
To qualify as a Brembo Expert Fitting Centre, we underwent a rigorous and technical training process, achieving IMI standard certification. Our team includes three qualified technicians, myself included, who guide all other staff members. We are also regularly vetted by Brembo to ensure we maintain their high standards.
My passion for Brembo revolves around performance and safety. Many motorists invest in premium tyres for better performance, grip, and fuel efficiency, which brings peace of mind, especially in adverse weather conditions. Brembo brakes offer similar confidence, particularly at higher speeds and while cornering. The brakes have a progressive feel, which minimises unnecessary wear on other components like brake master cylinders, ABS units, calipers, and brake pipes.
My mother, who is 75 years old and drives a Ford Fiesta 1.4 litre, once told me, “Bob, I have to ease off the brakes when approaching a junction or roundabout because I’m stopping too quickly without even braking hard!”
I take great pride in the fact that Brembo brakes contain 20% carbon in their manufacturing, effectively eliminating corrosion and wear. We MOT 10 vehicles daily, and at least 30% receive advisories for worn or corroded brake discs. Even though they pass a roller brake test, it’s often due to inferior Chinese steel. I’ve seen firsthand the defects that lead to brake fade—poor quality simply doesn’t cut it.
